July Sigil: Tribal Transformer
Being in community is a mixed bag. On one hand you need others to help you navigate yourself in a way. Reflective mirrors all around. You put energy in, you get energy out,. And when things are going well, you are supported and defined by your connection to your tribe.
Yet, sometimes, we can feel held down by the expectations we believe others have of us. We repress and suppress, and then eventually lash out maybe, or become sullen and isolated. Sometimes we outgrow those around us, and we can no longer abide keeping our own soul at bay for the benefit of others.
This sigil symbolizes the ideal way we can interact with the outer community.
If community is a reflection of our own selves, and if we are in turn representative of our community, then it makes sense that our community will change if we change. And vice versa.
This sigil require a little bit of courage to allow ourselves to be fully open to the world. To take in the energies of others, to reflect upon and then integrate and alchemize these energies. We must be WILLING TO CHANGE.
I cannot say how it will alchemize for you. We all have our own hang ups and shadow (and light!) that will be reflected back at us in a variety of ways. Sometimes, it will be an aspect of Self that we have a judgement of, or maybe even actively hate. Sometimes it is acceptance from tribe that we actually resist. Praise, compliments and encouragement are often what we can be most afraid of.
If you have been following the sigils for a while then, you will know that the last sigil (May) was about finding real inspiration, and grounding yourself in a more desirable, potential reality.
This sigil is a continuation of that, where we open ourselves up to the world and allow it to take us to where we need to go. In the form of tribe. Of Others.
If we are around others that no longer resonate with us, then the sigil will help us move through the process of letting them go and opening to a community that more represents our growing needs.
If we already find ourselves in a more desirable community, then it will help us open up to their teachings and support so we can fully embrace our new burgeoning selves in the protective and guiding influences of the tribe.
We cannot do this alone. On a grander theme it is time for us to open up to a higher vision of community, one that fulfills both the needs of the individual and the tribe in one seamless whole. Of course this isn’t going to happen over night. But this is the beginning of the New Tribe. Allow yourself to be taken along this new current and get rewired into becoming the new Citizen. One that honors the Soul and the Spirit. The One and the Many.
This sigil will keep us open to tribe, but also objectively so. The questions we can ask are: What is the most important lesson I’m learning from this tribe right now? What aspect of Self are they shining back at me? What am I here to teach them?
Then, with this sigil you visualize the connection to this tribe as something energetic that passes through your hands.(As you can see the sigil represent your own body) To be alchemized and transformed through the processes of the Heart and the Head. Once we have brought this energy in, internalized it, realized it and alchemized it, we let the energy go back out into the world. We reflect back and reciprocate, with thanks and praise. This learning process is ultimately a non-intellectual one. By following this sigil meditation most of the work is done through the energy body. Then our own actions will be responsive to that naturally.
So when you are about to engage with your community take a moment with this sigil and meditate. See what happens.
